CP4 pumps are prone to failure, and unfortunately the subsequent repairs can be very expensive. This is due to the fact that when the pump fails, metal debris quickly begins to spread, essentially contaminating the entire high pressure fuel system.
An affected vehicle will not only need a new high pressure pump, but also fuel rails, fuel lines and fuel injectors, and the fuel tank will need to be thoroughly cleaned as well.

Simply have the flawed CP4 replaced with a reliable high pressure fuel pump.

The recommended solution for the Ford 6.7 is a CP4 to DCR conversion. If that's not in the budget, the next best thing is to bypass the CP4 pump with a disaster prevention kit.
